In this project my teacher assigned a project in group of 4 students. We had to make a project about the atmosphere evolution. We used the different colours which are blue, red, yellow, green, black, purple and brown to represent the molecules. The picture above represent the first earth's atmosphere around 4.5 billion years ago. It includes 74% water vapour, 12% Carbon dioxide, 9% Sulphur oxide, 5% Nitrogen and around 1% other gasses. This is basically know to be the second evolution of the earth's atmosphere which was occurred around 3.8 billion years ago when the earth's temperature went under 100 C. After the earth's temperature went under 100 C the ocean was formed. The atmosphere at that time included 10% Water vapour, 50% Carbon dioxide, 30% Ammonia and 10% Methane. This is known to be the final form of the earth's atmosphere. The atmosphere remains the same from 2.7 billion years to now. The change was because the cellular organisms that produced oxygen as their waste product. Once there were a lot of oxygen the oxygen went to combined with the ammonia which created nitrogen as their waste product. This increased a lot of nitrogen in the atmosphere which it now consists of 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and 1% water vapour.
In this project I've learned to be teamwork which correspond to the school ESLO "leaders of the future". We separated the work that who should get the different molecules(colour). I found it really important to be teamwork because we can get the work done a lot faster.
