In this assignment I had to read a few articles about Charles Darwin history. The articles were about how he brought up the theory of evolution by natural selection. After I finished reading the articles I got to make a comic of the top 10 events that happened in the articles.
The school ESLO that involved in this assignment was Innovative thinker because I got to make my own ideas and be creative. I had to be creative because I had to choose for the top 10 events to draw and express each block with only three words. I came up with the solution to describe some blocks by drawing some objects that are pronounced similar to the word that I wanted to put in the blocks. I feel like I really had to use my creativity in this assignment ,and it took a lot of effort ,but still it was a fun assignment. This is a project that related to the HIPPCO. Each group would either has 2 or 3 members ,so we have to manage our tasks equally. The HIPPCO is abbreviation for the causes that cause by human that can lead to extinction to the animals and plants. My group was assigned to make a project about the overexploitation which is the overhunting of resources that make the resources not be able to maintain their population. The school’s ESLO that related to the project is articulate communicator. In this project we are not only putting informations down and send them to the teacher because we also have to present it in front of the class. We have to read from many articles and then choose the reliable one. Next, we have to write and summarise the informations on each slides, Last, We have to explain the information clearly in order for our classmates and teachers to understand the issue of HIPPCO.
In this project my teacher assigned a project in group of 4 students. We had to make a project about the atmosphere evolution. We used the different colours which are blue, red, yellow, green, black, purple and brown to represent the molecules. The picture above represent the first earth's atmosphere around 4.5 billion years ago. It includes 74% water vapour, 12% Carbon dioxide, 9% Sulphur oxide, 5% Nitrogen and around 1% other gasses. This is basically know to be the second evolution of the earth's atmosphere which was occurred around 3.8 billion years ago when the earth's temperature went under 100 C. After the earth's temperature went under 100 C the ocean was formed. The atmosphere at that time included 10% Water vapour, 50% Carbon dioxide, 30% Ammonia and 10% Methane. This is known to be the final form of the earth's atmosphere. The atmosphere remains the same from 2.7 billion years to now. The change was because the cellular organisms that produced oxygen as their waste product. Once there were a lot of oxygen the oxygen went to combined with the ammonia which created nitrogen as their waste product. This increased a lot of nitrogen in the atmosphere which it now consists of 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and 1% water vapour.
In this project I've learned to be teamwork which correspond to the school ESLO "leaders of the future". We separated the work that who should get the different molecules(colour). I found it really important to be teamwork because we can get the work done a lot faster. In this project me and my friends tried to make the project very simple to understand so we decorated the types of rock by their own compositions. For example, the sedimentary rock is made of different sediments both organic and inorganic so at the sediments part in the middle of the project me and my friends decorated the sediments with leaves and rocks. We decided to make our project very simple and easy to understand because we want everybody who is interested in our project to understand the detail even if they haven't learned about the rock cycle.
My group had to talk and plan the ideas in order to achieve the goal that we wanted which is how can we make our project very simple and easy to understand. ( Innovative thinker) |
