Inspiration:
In the process of designing this costume, we decided to heavily design our costume based on the culture of the Thai aristocracy during the reign of Rama 5. The reason for this is because during this time, a lot of European influence had come to Thailand or Siam. These influence can be clearly reflected upon the clothing of the Thai aristocratic society of that time. Instead of wearing cloth that traditionally wore for decades, people wore hard collar European dress that was common during the Victorian Era. Including many elements of fashion at the time such as the differences vividly colored hats and decoratives. It was a beautiful fusion between eastern and western culture, making it quite a memorable chapter of Thai’s fashion. When designing this we have a vision of a dress of something that is a sweet fusion between the lovely western dress and the prideful traditional Thai dress. We do not want our costume to be another “boring” traditional dress that every classes are doing and been doing for the past years. So, we decided to use this unique approach to make our costume looks standout and refreshing. Subsequently, 1102, have taken the clothing during the reign of Rama 5 and adapt it into our costume by various elements to enhance the character of this costume for the Thai Recycle Costume Competition. The primary color of our costume is red, which signify the independent of Thailand. The parasol of our costume is a tasteful combination of Chiang Mai’s parasol and Victorian’s parasols. For the headdress, we use fascinator, a hat that been popular since the Renaissance, to signify the immortality of beauty. The focal part of the costume is Victorian Cosette and a red Thai Loincloth. Though the costume is heavily influenced it still remains steadfast in maintaining the idealism of Thai. Reflection: This costume could have never be done without the help of all friends in the class of mine. This project was all started around 2 months ago when the school announced that the TTRCC would take place in the Vichakarn day. We then brainstormed our ideas on how we were going to make a unique plus fashionable costume. There were many ideas that were suggested, but we ended up with this mixed-cultural costume that could be seen above. This is a mixed-cultural design between the western (Victorian era) combine with our Thai traditional. It was a highly interactive, and it was fun ; all the members of the class got to know more of each other through the process of making the costume, such as spray painting the dress. For me, spraying painting the dress was one of the toughest parts because every time we spray on the bags, the paints keep peeling of where they should be, but it turned out to give the more natural looks to the dress. Lastly, the ESLOs that could be related are innovative thinker and future leadership because students got to brainstorm their ideas, but in the same time they also have to listen the their peers suggestions as well.

This group work is about finding different traditions to do research on. It started with making students in group of three.
The group would then have to do research about the tradition by stating some formatted questions ; for examples, why is this tradition importance, and what is it all about? We also researched of how the process has been done, and what are materials needed for this particular ceremony. It requires a lot of teamwork to equally separate the tasks to every member in the group. This project also has to be presented, so it also required a good preparation. This poster was assigned when we were studying about the efficient way to live in a sufficient way. We learned to live in a way of not having everything that makes you happy, but to live in a way that makes you happy of what already have.
In this topic, we are focusing on the natural disaster, and we were assigned to make a poster about it. The four main natural disasters are earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes, and tsunamis. We did some research about the effects of the tsunamis and how to protect ourselves from them.
